Due to continued growth and a busy production schedule, we are looking for a reliable and motivated Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Altham. Full training is provided, making this a great opportunity for candidates with machine operating or factory experience looking to develop new skills in a long-term role.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Operating silicone coating machinery safely and efficiently.
- Packing finished products, including wrapping, weighing, and palletising.
- Recording production data accurately using the in-house computer system.
- Following work instructions and customer specifications.
- Working from production priority schedules to meet deadlines.
- Maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and waste reduction.
- Keeping the work area clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety standards.
- Carrying out product testing to ensure specifications are met.
- Supporting continuous improvement projects and team initiatives.
- Completing any additional duties requested by supervisors or management.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Previous machine operating experience.
- Comfortable with regular manual handling and repetitive tasks.
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Flexible to work both day and night shifts.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
Training & Shift Pattern:
Training will involve both day and night shifts:
- £13.90 per hour to start | Rising to £14.63 per hour once fully trained.
- 2 weeks on days.
- Followed by 2 weeks on nights.
- 6AM-6AM Days .
- 6PM-6AM Nights.
This role operates on 12-hour shifts on a rotating basis with an additional night shift allowance.
